Dad's Pie Crust

Submitted by clara

Simple and great for savory or sweet pies!

  • 1 c and 2 Tbsp flour
  • 1/3 c vegetable oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 Tbsp cold water

  1. Mix flour, oil and salt together in a bowl with a fork.
  2. Add in the water and mix together. Mold into a ball with your hands.
  3. Roll out inbetween two sheets of wax paper. Once desired thickness is achieved, peel back the wax paper on top then replace. Flip the crust over onto the loose sheet of wax paper and peel off the bottom (now top) sheet of wax paper. Flip into pie pan and remove loose sheet of waxed paper.

Cook's Notes

** If dough is too wet once ingredients have been added add a little more flour.

** If dough is too dry, add more oil.
