Belgian Waffles

Ingredients

  • 3 eggs - separated
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tbs sugar
  • 2/3 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup butter - melted

Method

  1. Beat egg whites until stiff and then set aside.
  2. In mixing bowl, combine dry ingredients.
  3. Beat egg yolks, sour cream and milk together. Combine butter and oil. Add liquid ingredients alternately with fats to dry ingredients. Stir until smooth. Fold in beaten egg whites.
  4. Cook using Belgian waffle maker.

Cook's Notes

This recipes requires washing a lot of bowls but is totally worth it!
